The Heart of the Hills Quilt Guild was organized on May 9, 1999.
Seven ladies gathered to discuss having a quilt group in Hill City to be
named the Heart of the Hills Quilt Guild. We held the first Great
Black Hills Quilt Show and Sale on Sept. 10, 2000.
The charter
members were: Lou Schuelke, Sherryl Alexander, Sheila (Alexander)
Gillespie, Valorie Begeman, Betty Dahlin, Cathy Teeslink, and Peggy
Timms.
The quilt
show was renamed the Hill City Outdoor Quilt Show and Sale in 2004. |
